Preparing for Your Whitening Treatment

We do advise having a Hygiene visit prior to whitening to remove all deposits and extrinsic staining. We also advise having had a check up with a dentist within the last 12 months so there are no untreated cavities.

During your treatment

Once you have relaxed in our clinic, your tooth whitening technician will take you through the process and answer any questions you may have.

We use the POLUS® ULTRA whitening system with a 6% hydrogen peroxide gel. This is a no-heat LED light system with Ultrasonic technology. It is an advanced and very effective teeth whitening system.

Each session with the LED light takes between 12-15 minutes and follows the application of fresh gel.

At the end of the treatment you will be able to rinse your mouth and enjoy seeing your visibly whiter teeth.

We follow a comprehensive informed consent process and welcome your questions.

After Treatment

Following treatment, you will need a 'white diet' for 24 hours to stabilise your new shade of white.

What this means is avoiding coloured food and drinks especially coffee, tea, coke, red wine, curries and nicotine products.

Examples of a white diet include pasta, rice, chicken, fish, gnocchi, cauliflower, white cheeses, and white wine.

While most clients have no sensitivity, if you have very sensitive teeth, chips or cracks these may be sensitive for up to 24 hours after treatment. Let us know and we'll help!
